In the end the decision to go to the rally was a 'good life decision' but I wasn't quite sure at first. We did not decide to go to the event until the previous night at about 10:30 pm. This meant that no GOP offices were open for us to get tickets. Though we went to the rally without specifically having tickets in our hands, we were pretty confident we could find a way to get in... and we did!! We woke up really, really early in the morning and arrived at the arena at 8 am to find tickets. It was a little difficult because, though we were way early, when we arrived the rally was sold out, but after about 30 minutes of waiting a nice staff/volunteer gave us tickets!!

At this point in the rally, the crowd was sitting on needles because McCain is describing his running mate to us but has not made the official announcement.

At first I was a little skeptical about attending because we did not have physical tickets going, but what a great opportunity?! I am so glad I attended the rally now - it was totally worth skipping four classes :)
I love living in a 'swing state' and having the candidates visit often. This was my second time seeing McCain. I randomly saw him eating in Skyline Chili about a month and a half ago in Cincinnati. This is an such exciting time!!

How fun is that! Steve and I would have loved to have gone to that. I really like Sarah Palin.
