Every girl dreams of their engagement... all they think about is it being exciting, fun, glamorous... not so much!! Don't get me wrong, all of those things are definitely a part of being engaged but WORK is also there. I was not prepared!!
The first couple of weeks of being engaged have been busy, busy, busy!! Planning, trying to envision "our day", then planning, planning some more, making phone calls, making some more phone calls, visiting sites and vendors, more phone calls............. should I continue?! At times things were a bit stressful, but the dust has settled and we finally have a date, location, and many other things in progress :-)

Reception Location: The Officer's Club at Wright Patt in Dayton, Ohio
We also have many other vendors lined up for our big day. Things are coming along perfectly thanks to mine and Geoff's family for all their help. AND GEOFF - he's been amazing!! He has almost done more work than me calling vendors and setting up appointments for us. He's great!
So, now that we have most of the BIG things planned... the fun can reall begin!! This past weekend we began/finished most of our registery. We had sooo much fun at the stores being goofy and silly. I loved getting decorating ideas for our new place. We also spent 7 hours apartment hunting and IKEA shopping on Saturday!! That was a blast! We found a couple great places and a couple not so great places. It was so much fun beginning to plan our lives together and then also laughing at the ridiculous places we found. I am so glad Geoff always makes me laugh and we have such a fun time together always. AND, the fun continues tonight with dress shopping!! My mom and I going to bridal stores to try on dresses and find styles I like. Then, one of my close friends mother-in-law made her wedding dress and is an amazing seamstress and she has offered to make my wedding dress for me. How awesome?! I am super excited and can't wait to design the dress I want and have it made to fit me. YAY!!
Though being engaged is stressful at times and very busy, great, fun things are happening and I am so incredibly happy to be preparing to marry the most amazing man. I am very blessed.
